Pull the crown out to the first position: turning it clockwise adjusts the date, while turning it counterclockwise adjusts the hour hand (the minute hand remains stationary). Pulling it to the second position allows for normal time adjustment (the 24-hour scale on the sub-dial moves accordingly).
