RICHARD MILLE unveils the fourth timepiece designed in collaboration with British supercar manufacturer McLaren—the “RM 65-01 McLaren W1.” Inspired by McLaren’s latest-generation W1 supercar, the bezel features a first-of-its-kind combination of Carbon TPT® carbon fiber and Grade 5 titanium, cleverly incorporating racing-inspired colors such as orange, yellow, and blue for a striking, speed-infused aesthetic.

The barrel-shaped case design draws inspiration from the elegant lines of the McLaren W1, with its “convex-concave” silhouette translated into a concave “double-layer” bezel. The upper layer of the double-layered bezel is crafted from Carbon TPT® carbon fiber, with each case featuring a unique texture, while the lower layer is made of polished Grade 5 titanium, with the thinnest section measuring just 0.5mm. The chronograph pushers are made of Carbon TPT® carbon fiber, and the titanium crown is wrapped in orange rubber to enhance tactile feedback.

The skeletonized titanium dial draws design inspiration from the W1 supercar’s wheel rims, with color accents reminiscent of a supercar’s instrument panel—the hour and minute hands, along with the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, are accented in yellow; the 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters are accented in orange; and the chronograph seconds scale is accented in blue. A vertical date window is positioned at 11 o’clock on the dial.

Powered by the RMAC4 automatic movement, it offers a 60-hour power reserve. The movement’s mainplate and bridges are crafted from Grade 5 titanium, and it measures time with a precision of 1/10 of a second.

The rubber strap is available in two color combinations—black and orange—with a streamlined pattern inspired by the aerodynamic design of the W1’s hood vents.
